Ozobot Classroom

Equivalent Fraction Match-Up

Students will analyze fraction models to determine missing numerators. Then, they’ll compare two fraction models and use Color Codes to program their Ozobot to identify the equivalent and nonequivalent fractions.

All About Symmetry

Students use the information their bot gives them to draw lines of symmetry.

Even or Odd Shopping

Students will count objects by 2s to determine if a total is odd or even. Students will write equations to show how even totals and odd totals are made. Students will use Color Codes to show the odd and even groups of objects Ozobot will shop for.

Synonyms in Action

In this lesson, students will read sentences and use context clues to determine the meaning of a word. Students will then find a synonym and program their Ozobot to demonstrate the meaning of the words using Color Codes.

ID the Structure

Students will identify the structure of short passages of text as chronology, comparison, cause/effect or problem/solution, then add the correct Color Code to the Activity Sheet to get Ozobot to the correct structure.

Comparing Fractions with Ari

Students will use Ari and bowling pins to determine the numerators for two fractions. Then, they will make a fraction comparison using numbers and a model.

Equivalent Fractions with Ari

Students take Ari bowling to determine a numerator. Then, Ari chooses a new denominator. Students create an equivalent fraction, if possible. Otherwise, students will make an equivalent fraction with a denominator they choose.

Equivalent Fractions with Ozo Tells Time

Students will use the Ozo Tells Time STEAM Kit to identify equivalent fractions by comparing how long it takes Ozobot to travel along the fraction pieces around the clock.

Energy Food Chain

Students create a model of a food chain and program their bot to demonstrate how energy moves through the chain.
