Animal Life Cycles
Students will create interactive diagrams to show the life cycles of two different organisms. Ari will display the life cycles of the organisms as it travels on the track. Students then compare and contrast the two different life cycles.
Plant Life Cycles
Program Ari to represent each stage of the plant life cycle, from seed to flower. Using color codes and sequencing language, students practice creating scientific models while combining coding skills with their understanding of biology.
Exploring Solstices and Equinoxes
Create a Blockly program for Ozobot to travel through the year’s solstices and equinoxes!
Ocean Challenge Mat Lesson 3: The Twilight Zone
Ozobot goes to the next level of the ocean, the Twilight Zone, where strange creatures live in very little light. Students will program Ozobot to look for strange creatures to “photograph” as they navigate underwater caverns.
Stargazing with Ari
Dive into the story of Orion’s Belt and learn how its stars form one of the most famous constellations in the night sky. Then students will become astronomers and creatively reimagine the three stars to invent and name their very own constellations.
Industry Applications 10: Robot Arms in Space
Students will learn about different uses of robotic arm technology outside of Earth’s atmosphere. Students will participate in a challenge to utilize precise ORA finger gripper movement.
Industry Applications 2: Robotic Agricultural Assistant
Students will learn about emerging agricultural technology and how ORA can be used to perform growing duties in a high-tech greenhouse.
Industry Applications 1: Recycling Robotic Arm
Students will learn about single-stream recycling and how ORA can be used to participate in several of the steps.
How to Make Earth Happy
Learn how to help take care of our planet through conservation! Then use Color Code markers to program Ozobot’s movement with u-turn, win/exit, and line switching codes.
Ocean Challenge Mat Lesson 2: The Sunlight Zone
Ozobot has decided to try SCUBA diving and overheard the instructor talking about an underwater archeological site that was looking for volunteers! Use functions to program Ozobot to participate in an underwater service project.
