Evo’s Sea Adventure

Students will create an original story using “Create a Story” cards, add Ozobot color codes, and then send Evo on a sea adventure. This activity incorporates both technology and language arts.

Chunk Hunt–G

Students will identify four vowel/consonant chunks with the letter -g in single-syllable words by using the same color code “dance” for each -g chunk pattern.

Chunk Hunt –P

Students will identify vowel/consonant chunks with the letter -p in single- syllable words by using the same color code “dance” for each -p chunk pattern

Ozobot Blending

Use Ozobots and speed color codes to engage students in blending word practice, an important early literacy skill.

Chunk Hunt–T

Students will identify vowel/consonant chunks with the letter -t syllable words by using the same color code “dance” for each -t chunk pattern.

Chunk Hunt–N

Students will identify vowel/consonant chunks with the letter -n single-syllable words by using the same color code “dance” for each -n chunk pattern.

A Vowel Story

Students will use Ozobot Blockly to program Ozobot to randomly display colors and prompt them to choose words from a word bank. Then, students will use the words to complete sentences and determine if they have long or short vowels.

A Vowel Story Make It Rhyme

Students will program Ozobot with Ozobot Blockly to randomly display colors and choose words for a story. Then, they’ll add their own rhyming words to show long or short vowel sounds. Students will use pictures to retell their story with Ozobot.

Long A Vowel Hunt

Students will identify long A vowel patterns in single- and multi-syllable words using the same color code “dance” for each long A vowel pattern.
