Meet Ozzie the Ozobot!
This lesson is perfect for the pre-K – 3rd grade classes to use as an introduction to Ozobots. The Ozzie the Ozobot file is a kid’s story that introduces Ozobots. There are four challenges that are differentiated to fit your class’s needs.
Alphabet Practice with Ozobot Codes
Have students practice writing the letters of the alphabet – with and without Ozobot codes.
Ozobot Plot Diagram
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of plot elements in a fictional story by utilizing color codes to demonstrate the action that occurs at each plot element.
Fiction or Nonfiction
Students will decide if books are fiction or nonfiction based on characteristics of each book.
Parts of Speech- Interjections, Conjunctions, Prepositions
This activity will help students identify interjections, conjunctions, prepositions
Ozobot at the Store
This lesson is for students to practice sequencing from a repetitive book and demonstrate how there are certain tasks that must be done in the correct order when shopping at a story.
Pictures with blends
Students will code based on the sound they hear when they say the word for the picture.
Ozobot Alphabet
Students will practice upper case, lower case, and the vowel letters. 3 versions include: Upper case letters, Lower case letters, and Mixed Upper and Lower. For each vowel, students will use a code chart to color in the codes.
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a story about the six worst children in the history of the world. This activity sequences the story of the Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Students will use directional color codes to retell the story.
Christmas Village
This lesson is a final project that a small team of high school students created. They integrated Evo, Makey-Makey- and Scratch 3.0.
