CCM Base Kit Lesson 10: Maze Challenge
Now that students have been introduced to all the magnets from the Color Code Magnets Base Kit, they will create a maze for their peers to navigate.
Classify by Shape
Students will practice cutting out paper tiles, and classifying them by the shapes on the tiles. Then, Ozobot will show each shape as students explain how they classified each group.
Phonics Review
Students will code their Ozobot to go ‘slow’ or ‘turbo’ based on the phonics sound they hear in each word along the path.
Create a Pirate Map
Students complete a compass rose, then write a story to send their ozobot on an adventure to find a pirate’s treasure. Students will practice directional skills and writing skills.
Ozobot Zoo Adventure
Engage elementary students in a coding journey with Ozobot robots through a zoo-themed activity. Students use color codes to program Ozobots to navigate a zoo, visit chosen animals, and create imaginative zoo exhibits.
Snowflake with Ozobot
Coloring task for beginners, discovering how Ozobot behaves.
Aw, Shucks!
Students will identify words with the -aw sound pattern in single-syllable words by using the same color code “dance” for each sound pattern.
Subject & Predicate Review
Students will review the concept of subject and predicate. They will color code the Ozobot with the speed code that matches: subject = slow, predicate = turbo.
Lesson 8: I Can Code Color Sequences in OzoBlockly!
Students will familiarize themselves with Ozoblockly and practice coding their Ozobot to glow different colors in different sequences.
Lesson 6: I Can Write Loops With Color Codes!
Students will explore how to create a loop from a color code. Students will identify color code sequences, and modify them to become loops.
