Ozobot Classroom

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a story about the six worst children in the history of the world. This activity sequences the story of the Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Students will use directional color codes to retell the story.

Directions – Where do you live?

Students will create a code path from their house to school. This can be achieved in a Google Doc, printed document or with just plain paper and markers.

Exploring the Engineering Design Process

Students will construct a model of the steps of the engineering design process and use ozocodes to represent each step in the process. Students should have some knowledge of the engineering design process prior to this lesson being completed.

Add It Up! (Two Digit without Regrouping)

This game allows students to use an Ozobot Evo as a random number generator to choose two two-digit numbers to sum. Students play this game by taking turns making a sum, then comparing it with the sum of their partner.

Mapping the Ocean Floor

Students will create models of the ocean floor with QR codes associated with each feature. Students will then switch maps of the ocean floor and use Ozoblockly to code the path drawn by another group.

Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

This lesson allows students to create a snowman. Students will use directional color codes to code their way by different parts of a snowman and draw the snowman at the end using the objects they “collected”.

Series and Parallel Circuits

Creating series and parallel circuits is easy with basic symbols and Ozobots! Use this lesson to review the components of series and parallel circuits such as how to complete a circuit and which direction energy flows.

Add It Up! (Two Digit with Regrouping)

This game allows students to use an Ozobot Evo as a random number generator to choose two digits that require regrouping to sum. Students play this game by taking turns making a sum, then comparing it with the sum of

Halloween Color Coding

This lesson allows younger students to practice coding with color codes. This is an introductory level activity, and the codes are provided for students. Students will count candy, houses, and match pictures to color codes around a pumpkin patch.
