Meet Ozzie the Ozobot!
This lesson is perfect for the pre-K – 3rd grade classes to use as an introduction to Ozobots. The Ozzie the Ozobot file is a kid’s story that introduces Ozobots. There are four challenges that are differentiated to fit your class’s needs.
Shape City
This lesson is all about creating shapes and measuring accurately.
Balloons and Ozobots!
Students will use rubber bands, zip ties, and tape to engineer a support support system to hold their balloon up in the air while their Ozobot travels around a coding map.
Add It Up!
This game allows students to use an Ozobot Evo as a random number generator to choose two digits to sum. These sums range from 2-18. Students play this game by taking turns making a sum, then comparing it with the sum of their partner.
Alphabet Practice with Ozobot Codes
Have students practice writing the letters of the alphabet – with and without Ozobot codes.
Every Job is Important!
This lesson is for students to understand that all jobs/specialists depend on other specialists, and if one cannot do his/her job, others might suffer because of the break in the interdependence web.
Ozobot Plot Diagram
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of plot elements in a fictional story by utilizing color codes to demonstrate the action that occurs at each plot element.
Life Cycle of a Butterfly
This lesson is for students with disabilities to participate in the coding process and understanding of the cycle of a butterfly.
Learning Ozobot Codes through Legos
Students will become familiar with the color codes for Ozobots by building them with legos. Students will also try out the codes on practice sheets. Special coding cards are included with pictures to help remember and understand the meaning.
