Ozobot Classroom

Area with Ozobot

Students program their bot to randomly select a number of units for the length and width of a rectangle. Next, they use the numbers to draw the rectangle on grid paper and find the area by counting the units and multiplying the length by the width.

CCM Speed Lesson 1: Fast and Slow – Opposites

Students will practice their knowledge of opposites and observe the difference between the Slow Color Code and the Fast Color Code. This is Lesson 1 designed for the Color Code Magnets Speed Extension Kit.

CCM Speed Lesson 2: Fast and Slow Races

Students will create tracks to discover if the placement of the Fast and Slow Color Codes is important in finishing a race first. This is Lesson 2 designed for the Color Code Magnets Speed Extension Kit.

CCM Speed Lesson 3: Turbo and Cruise

Students will create a costume for Ozobot to wear while demonstrating the Cruise and Turbo Speed Codes. This is Lesson 3 designed for the Color Code Magnets Speed Extension Kit.

CCM Special Moves Lesson 2: Zigzag and Backwalk

Students will observe the asymmetric codes Zigzag and Backwalk, predict the action of the bot, and compare and contrast the codes using an Everybody and Nobody Chart. This is Lesson 2 in a 7-lesson series for the Color Code Magnets Special Moves Kit.

CCM Special Moves Lesson 3: Two Kinds of U-Turn

Students observe two types of U-Turn codes used in different situations. They create their own story about changes in direction and run the bot with the story. This is Lesson 3 in a 7-lesson series for the Color Code Magnets Special Moves Kit.

CCM Base Kit Lesson 3: Finding Your Way Around

Student groups will create new routes for Ozobot to follow using the Start, Turn, and Win/Exit magnets. Students will work together to see if they can help Ozobot navigate its way around some new challenges.

Classify by Size

Students will practice cutting out paper tiles, and classifying them by size. Then, Ozobot will help students as they explain how they classified each group of shapes.
