Clear space in the classroom to create a large track using tape on the floor. Make sure furniture and other objects are not in the way of students following the track.

You can create the track in any manner that suits your space, but ensure you use at least three color code combinations that include directional turns.

    3. Direct Instruction (Teacher-Facing Instructions)

These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.

    Instruction

Explain to students that their task is to pretend they are an Ozobot that will move along the track created on the classroom floor. They will use the codes on the student sheet they will be given to determine what the code tells an Ozobot to do.

    Instruction

When they have passed over a color code and have determined what that code instructs them to do, they will complete the fill in under that code on the student sheet.
