    This lesson can be used mid-year in first grade, all of second grade for most students and is a great intervention for students with phonemic awareness deficits, to provide review and reenforcement of skills. I use it in small groups prior to assigning it as a station during independent reading time.

    These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.
