    Instruction

Today we are going to be using Ozobot Evo Color Code to create your own mosaic tile to take home. Before we get started and break up into to groups of 2, 3, or 4…let’s watch a brief video on color coding with Ozobot. (Either download Ozobot Evo video or share via YouTube)

    https://youtu.be/2wgBxElvInQ?si=cLe8t2cz4U0mWX1e

    Instruction

(After video) Ask: What are some of the commands that can be programmed using the Ozobot color code? How can we use different colors to make the Ozobot move in a specific direction or perform certain actions?

    Instruction

You will first: Break up in to your groups (assigned or self choice) (Have paper materials and Ozobot Evo Markers ready in a caddy or bucket) Each of you will create or design your tile, use the specific colors and only the specific Ozobot colors to design your mosaic tile. Remember you will only get one square for your masterpiece. Please encourage your group along the way. Only positive feedback!

    Instruction

Second, once you’ve completed your Ozobot masterpiece, raise your hand, and I will happily review your work. After review, I will allow you to demonstrate to your group the Ozobot movements with your tile masterpiece!

    Instruction

Last, if student is comfortable allow student to present to entire class and elaborate their thought process.

    4. Student Practice (Student-Facing Instructions)

These are step-by-step instructions delivered directly to the students as they work independently or in groups

    Instruction

After seeing the video, what comes to mind when creating with only set colors?

I want you to think of the floor in our room or if you’ve been to the Art Museum in town. Some have designs in the floor that show patterns. What pattern can you create that will allow movement with our Ozobot?
