    3. Direct Instruction (Teacher-Facing Instructions)

These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.

    Instruction

Provide each student a primary/secondary source with which to analyze. Provide instruction on how students should analyze the document.

    Instruction

Remind students as they begin to read/read that they are trying to determine the trends in the migration of people or cultures. They should also take note of the location in which these people/cultures move.

    Instruction

After students have finished reading, have students create a path on the map that shows the migrations that have occurred according to the source.

    4. Student Practice (Student-Facing Instructions)

These are step-by-step instructions delivered directly to the students as they work independently or in groups

    Student Instructions

    Instruction

Using the primary/secondary source provided by your teacher, read and annotate the document. Make sure to highlight key places and numbers in relation to migration.

    Instruction

Using either the paper map or Ozoblockly code the movement of peoples/ideas. Make sure to represent the quantity (numbers) of significance that you found while reading. This could mean Ozobot goes back and forth multiple times, or that Ozo's skills may be equal to numbers. However, you choose to represent it, make sure to provide a key.
