    After teaching students how the Colour Block code functions. The students will collaborate together in groups of 2-4 utilising the colour markers to physically pattern a path for the Ozobot to follow. This pattern of code will enable the Ozobot to maneuver around the racetrack. The objective is to maneuver around the racetrack as quickly as possible.

    3. Direct Instruction (Teacher-Facing Instructions)

    These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.

    Instruction

    Use the Colour Code functions and colour in sections of the racetrack to help guide the Ozobot through the circuit. With the main objective being speed and accuracy.

    Each group will get the opportunity to individually race their Ozobot on their track.

    Use a stopwatch/app to time how long it takes for the Ozobot to complete the circuit. Every time the Ozobot steps out of of the line, the group will be penalised 2 seconds.

    Total the time it takes for the Ozobot to complete the track and add the penalty if needed. This will represent the group total time.
