    B. Background Knowledge (Optional)

    C. Lesson Tips (Optional)

Add tips for the educator that don't fit into Direct Instruction or Student Practice. You can always return to this page to add more.

Read a book about the Iditarod so students will have background knowledge. I recommend The Great Serum Race by Debbie S. Miller, Woodsong by Gary Paulsen. Also, check our the Iditarod website. https://iditarod.com/edu/

If your school uses Reading A-Z you can assign The Last Great Race and The Jr. Iditarod.

    3. Direct Instruction (Teacher-Facing Instructions)

These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.

    Instruction

Your Ozobot has entered the Iditarod Race. You will code your Ozobot to run the trail. Make sure you use the correct route (depends on the year even or odd).
