Introducing Ozobot:
This is our Ozobot. It's a very simple robot because all it can do is detect black lines, and coloured lines. But can still make it do a few really cool things.
Turn it over, and find the sensors underneath.

We need to calibrate our Ozobots, so they can run correctly. To calibrate an Ozobot, we need to put it on one of these black dots, hold the On button until it goes white, then wait for the Ozobot to do its thing, and it's light to turn green.

I'm going to show you some things an Ozobot can do, and some of the actions we're going to learn how to code.
Learning how to draw lines correctly for Ozobot
The lines that the Ozobot can read need to be quite precise, not too thick, not too thin. So we're going to do some practice at drawing the lines for Ozobot to follow. Use the thick side of the marker to connect the lines on the first worksheet, and see if your Ozobot can follow the path.

Now we probably don't always want our Ozobot to go in a straight line, so we need to learn how to draw the right type of line for our Ozobot to turn. We can do a sharp right angle corner (explain what that is if they don't know), or a smooth corner, but not too sharp and not too close.
