    3. Direct Instruction (Teacher-Facing Instructions)

    These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.

    Instruction

    Students are provided with a background on 5 human "Senses" (including information on the main five senses). Begin by administering the pre-lesson quiz How many sensors or senses do humans have? List them. Humans have 5 main senses: vision, hearing, smell, touch and taste. Our sensors include the eyes, ears, nose, skin and tongue. Describe how any two of those human “sensors” work. Eyes, Ear, Nose, Skin and Tongue

    Give 2 examples of Ozobot sensors that are similar to human senses (Line Sensors and Colour sensors)

    Instruction

    Explain what is meant by a sensor

    Relating human senses to sensors designed for Ozobots. (Line Sensors, Colour sensors and LED lights). Students then learn how the to switch on the Ozobot and learn the use of each sensors and LED lights.
