    2. Preparation

This helps the teacher prepare for the lesson before the class session

    A. Student Materials

    B. Background Knowledge (Optional)

    C. Lesson Tips (Optional)

Add tips for the educator that don't fit into Direct Instruction or Student Practice. You can always return to this page to add more.

    • Make sure when students are coloring in the codes they do not color too dark. Coloring too dark can make it difficult for the ozobot to read.
    • Make sure students color in their codes neatly and completely.

    3. Direct Instruction (Teacher-Facing Instructions)

These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.

    Instruction

Before giving this activity students should know how to add and subtract fractions with common denominators. Additionally students should know how to simplify a fraction and/or find equivalent fractions.

    Instruction

Students will solve the math problems on the first page each answer will be given a specific color.

    Instruction

Students will find that answer on their ozobot map on the next page and color the box in accordingly. If students do not see their answer they may need to simplify their answer. If they still do not see their answer then their answer is incorrect and they need to work the problem out again.

    Instruction

Once all of the color code boxes have been colored in by the students, the students should let their ozobot complete the maze.

    Instruction

As the ozobot completes the maze he will pass a series of letters. Students need to write these letters down at the bottom of the map where it says mystery message. The message the ozobot codes at the end will tell you if you have done everything correctly.

    4. Student Practice (Student-Facing Instructions)

These are step-by-step instructions delivered directly to the students as they work independently or in groups
