    3. Direct Instruction (Teacher-Facing Instructions)

    These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.

    Students are to create a color code for the ozobot to follow. Then, using ozoblockly.com, duplicate the color code with drag-and-drop code using levels 1 and 2.

    Get with your curly-top partner (same color/type hair - groups of 2).

    Understand the problem: Each partner group will need a sheet of paper and a set of markers.

    Devise a plan: Each partner group will draw a path for ozobot to follow on paper. On ozoblockly.com, each partner group will duplicate your path using the drag-and-drop code. Use only levels 1 and 2.

    Carry out the plan: Upload program to ozobot (follow instructions on computer screen). Double press power button to run code.

    Revise and Reflect: Did the ozobot follow the same path on the color code and the ozoblockly code? If not, revise code until it does.
