(5 minutes)Introduction:
Introduce the lesson by explaining that students will embark on a storytelling adventure using Ozobots.
Discuss how coding and storytelling intersect to create interactive narratives.
(20 minutes) Story Creation:
*Allow students time to brainstorm and create a story or choose from a list of prompts (space adventure, junglr exploration, a magical quest)
*Guide students in creating a storyline, setting, characters, conflicts for the adventure.
(25 minutes) Coding the Story Path
*Provide students/groups with an Ozobot, markers, butcher paper
*Instruct students to design a path that reflects the narrative the group created.
*Students will use the following codes for different story elements ( slow- rising action, zig zag for conflicts, spin for the climax, turbo for the resolution.
(10 minutes)Sharing and Improvisation
*Allow students to share their Ozobot adventures with their classmates, narrating the story as their Ozobots traverse the path.
*Encourage improvisation-If the Ozobot doesn't follow the prepared path, students can creatively adjust the story to fit the Ozobots actions.
*Encourage reflection- How did coding bring their story to life? What worked well? What challenges did the group face and overcome?
