    3. Direct Instruction (Teacher-Facing Instructions)

    These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.

    Tell students that Ozobot has 4 favorite colors. While the teacher shows each marker one at a time, the students say the color out loud. Explain to students that Ozobot likes to follow different colors of lines and small boxes of color and they will explore that today.

    Continue by explaining that Ozobot only has one button to turn it on. Follow by handing each student or group of students the Ozobot and ask them to find the button.

    Tell students we will begin by seeing how Ozobot drives across solid line with different colors.

    Once you get your fist paper with lines, turn your Ozobot on and let it drive on the line. Observe what it does when it travels over the different colors.
