    3. Direct Instruction (Teacher-Facing Instructions)

    These are the steps the educator will read. Include any front loading, modeling or explicit instruction before students work independently or in groups.

    The teacher will refer back to the previous lesson on punnett squares and using the ozobots to explain the purpose. today, students will use the ozobot to demonstrate the probability of a certain genotype being visible.

    The teacher will demonstrate how to write a code in Ozoblockly. The teacher will share an example that shows how the programs can show movement, change the colors of the lights, make sounds, etc. The teacher will also demonstrate how to download a code.

    Students will be asked to create a simple code first. Involving three steps of movement, and color change. Students will run the code to see if they completed this step effectively.

    When students understand how Ozoblockly functions, they will be asked how they could use Ozoblockly to demonstrate probability. One way to do this would be to write a program that identifies the phenotype shown based on the punnett square. (Ex yellow lights on a homogenous yellow pea).
