Chuck-A-Luck: For Fun or Computer Science and Statistics and Probability
Chuck-A-Luck, a popular carnival game, can provide students some fun or a learning experience in computer programming and statistics and probabiity.
Exploring Experimental and Theoretical Probability
Students will create a random choice loop and measure the experimental probability of the Ozobot reaching a chosen outcome then compare it to the theoretical probability.
Discovering Pascal’s Triangle
Student lab groups discover Pascal’s triangle by finding the number of paths from the apex to any point in the triangle, and then do an experiment in which Ozobot Bit traverses the triangle many times.
A Lesson in Probability and Statistics
Students will learn how to control Ozobot at intersections using Color Codes and relate this to concepts in Probability Theory. Lesson created for Ozobot by Dr. Richard Born, Associate Professor Emeritus at N. Illinois Univ.
