Vowel Addition
Students will identify a long or short vowel sound in short words, and calculate a sum. In that sum, one of the digits indicates where their Ozobot will start on a map. The line the bot follows will confirm their choice of long or short for the vowel
Closed and Open Syllable Types
Ozobots will be used in word study lessons to physically prove words belong in each syllable type by their drawn color codes.
A Vowel Story
Students will use Ozobot Blockly to program Ozobot to randomly display colors and prompt them to choose words from a word bank. Then, students will use the words to complete sentences and determine if they have long or short vowels.
